Welcome back! In this issue I want to briefly mention my top five crypto holdings, why I’m bullish on them, and their future through my eyes. This is not financial advice but I want all of you to succeed. Lastly, I will end with a little parent corner.
My top holdings in order:
Ethereum- This one really got me excited about crypto. Eth was exciting to me because now a currency had utility. It was simply a game changer. Bitcoin was what peaked my interest, but Ethereum was what game me a passion for crypto. There are endless possibilities with what crypto can do through the use of smart contracts, and I am thrilled that I was somewhat of an earlier investor in Ethereum. Eth will be around forever and literally could rival bitcoin just because of the utilities it brings. Right now, it has less than half the market cap bitcoin does but that margin is shrinking.
Bitcoin- The OG, The Godfather, The Alpha, The King. Without Bitcoin non of the coins exist. BTC literally changed my life. Like I mentioned above it is the reason I started looking into crypto. We all owe so much respect to Satoshi Nakamoto whomever he is or was. The coolest thing is all other cryptos have modeled themselves after bitcoin, while trying to improve the technology, and so many have. Bitcoin will be at the top for a long time simply because even investors that have no idea the use case and functionality for crypto still invest on bitcoin. Bitcoin has very little utility but I am still buying and I will for a long time.
Cardano- Ada, my long lost love. If you know me, you know this is my absolute favorite crypto. You want to talk about utility, and community Cardano is the Homecoming Queen. I love to hear Charles Hoskinson speak. In case you live under a rock, or still learning, he is the creator of Cardano and was the co-founder of Ethereum. Hoskinson is one of the smartest people alive and most of the time I have no idea what he is talking about because 70-80% goes over my tiny brain. Nonetheless, you can just hear the passion in his voice with his passion to help others and to truly make the world a better place. I love the Cardano community, and especially the defi side of it. Every 5 days, I increase my Ada position with the hands down best staking option that I know of. Cardano is so underrated but it will not be forever. Do some research on Cardano and I believe you will fall in love as I have.
Polygon- Oh, the potential here. I also love this community especially the NFT side. This is where I first learned NFTs and even launched my first project. Polygon was started to help Ethereum with speed and transactions fees. And yes, Eth needed it. What I am most excited about with Polygon is the partnerships they have secured. I will post them below. The list is mind blowing. I truly believe that Polygon will be the main crypto that bridges people from Web 2 into Web 3.
Some of the notable Polygon Partnerships Algorand- This coin I have so much to still learn about. I can’t say too much about this coin other than they have so a strong community, defi (yes!), staking, NFTs, and low fees. I will give you a little rundown of the chain. They were founded by Silvio Micali, a professor of computer science at MIT in 2017. They were the first to offer Pure Proof of Stake. PPOS is a consensus mechanism that allows a random selection based on their consistency of their stakes. Here is a link to better understand PPOS. I am very bullish on this coin for the long term, that is why it is already my 5th largest holding and I just started investing in Algo last year.
Now, let’s take a break and discuss some parenting. This is probably a subject that I am the most qualified to talk about. I have four children of my own and they range from 16 to 6 months. They go Girl, Boy, Girl, Boy. So a just a few weeks ago, none of my oldest 3 had a special love interest in their life. Now all 3 are in a relationship with someone and I feel it has happened overnight. My oldest was the first to find someone, then second oldest, then my baby girl (10) has found this boy. I was in no way ready for them all three to be taken. Now there is this dance tomorrow for the oldest two and they are so excited. This is the first big dance for both of them. My oldest daughter went with her mom dress shopping last weekend. A chore that I did not envy. My goal for them was to find a dress my oldest wanted that was somewhat modest. After dozens of dresses, hundreds of miles driving, and photos to me (Dad) a dress was captured. I asked my oldest to try on the dress the other day to see how it looked in person. I am not sure what happened in those few days but the dress became magically shorter. Way shorter than I was comfortable for her to wear. I want you to know my daughter is very beautiful inside and out but I wanted her to know that she doesn’t have to show 90% of her legs to feel that way. We had a really good talk about self worth, trying to be modest, and classy. Her mom called me and we both decided the dress was too short and we wanted to go with another option. So last night my beautiful daughter and I went dress shopping. I do not like shopping period. I am old, I know my size, I don’t need to try it on, let me grab what I need and go. This was different. This was my first born and Cinderella needed a dress to the ball. After a few tears, a few bad words, we found a dress that her mom liked, I liked, and most importantly she liked. She told me afterwards, “Dad I really don’t care about the dress, I just care about whom I am going to the dance with.” That statement was a proud moment for me and allowed me to see her heart.

And so difficult see how kids grow up, but discover that one kid have heart and know that will be a good person is all I really need to know about my daughter too. I understand you so well.
